Quick-release Core Holder Model Res-1250
Quick-release Core Holder
  • Hydrostatic and biaxial pressure
  • Pressure up to 700 bar (10,000 psi)
  • Bayonet quick release end caps
  • 1.5" core sample diameter
  • Electrical insulated end-piece
  • Hydraulic balanced axial piston
  • Low weight

A slim design, easy to use, all-round high pressure core holder, which can be used for various core plug measurements, such as:

  • Helium porosity and gas permeability at stress
  • Liquid permeability/liquid porosity/FRF at stress
  • Porous plate capillary pressure/resistivity index
  • Core flooding, relative permeability measurements

The RES-1250 is designed to enable hydrostatic confining stress when the radial and axial ports are connected to a common pressure source. Biaxial stress on the core sample is achieved by connecting two independent pressure sources to the radial and axial ports.

ResLab delivers the RES-1250 as a stand-alone product, as well as part of integrated laboratory solutions. The photographs show examples of rigs that utilise the RES-1250 for liquid porosity, liquid permeability and FRF measurements at overburden pressures.
